Television Intervie & Award & upcoming events!


 
Texas & Neighbors 1st Place Award

1st Place Award: Watercolor painting "Dog Tired" and Chocolate Rose floral arrangement interpretation of painting.
I am pleased to announce that I received the 1st place award in the Watercolor category at the Texas & Neighbors Regional Art Exhibit!

The 2013 exhibit revealed 79 works of art, juried by Jill Pankey from more than 500 submissions, created by artists living in the states of Texas, New Mexico, Oklahoma, Arkansas and Louisiana in the 28th Texas Regional Art Exhibition presented
 by the Irving Art Association and the Irving Arts Center.
I also experienced my personal 15minutes of fame, when I was interviewed by
Irving, Texas's local television station!

ARTWALK SATURDAY APRIL 13TH IN NEWMAN VILLAGE

 As Frisco’s art scene is on the fast track, this event kicks off

 with a large piece of original sculptured art in the new patio home division 
with dedication hosted by Classical radio station, WRR 101.1 fm.

 2 new patio homes 
viewing over 100 pieces of original art from 10 local artisans 
as well as Pink Elementary students, wine 
& artisan cocktail tastings from Banfi, 
Great Tastes and JC Bartending with appetizers and dessert 
catered by La Madeleine and Delicious Cakes.  Hasten’s Beds 
and Sunnyland Patio Furniture will be displaying their luxury 
furnishings, piano courtesy of Metroplex Piano
 with live music 1- 3pm.

                You don't want to miss Six blocks of Main Street in the Deep Ellum entertainment district that will be transformed into one enormous street festival featuring! Featuring  200 top-notch juried decorative and visual artists, 100 original bands, singer/songwriters and performance artists performing from five different stages, the renowned Pet Parade, and copious food and drink. Festival attendees can stroll through displays of cutting-edge decorative arts and admire, commission, and purchase the art of sculptors, muralists, jewelers, painters, and fine artists; some of whom will be creating pieces on the spot.

Barbara J. Mason Awarded Signature Status by the Pastel Society of America!

I am pleased to announce that I have been juried into
the Pastel Society of America as Signature member. 
This is a great honor to be listed among prestegious pastel artist  
from across the nation.
As a Signature 'PSA' member I am granted the distinction of using the initials 'PSA'
after my signature on all of my pastel paintings and on all correspondence.
I am looking forward to completing my next pastel painting and using new signature initials 'PSA'!!!
